Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Michael Olatunji (“Pressé”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Pressé iOS app and this website (together, the “Service”). Pressé helps you design, preview, size, and order custom, hand-made press-on nails. We try to keep personal data on your device or in your private iCloud where we can, and to send to our servers only what an order actually needs.

Information we collect

Account & identity. You sign in with Sign in with Apple (brokered by our authentication provider, Clerk). We receive a stable account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and a relay or real email address. We do not receive your Apple password.

Photos you provide. To preview a design on your own hand and to estimate your size, you may upload photos of your hands, plus any design or inspiration images you import. These images are used to generate your try-on renders and sizing estimates.

Design & fit data. The designs you save and your fit/measurement profile are stored on your device and, if you enable it, synced to your private iCloud account. We upload to our servers only the design and sizing details needed to fulfill an order you place.

Orders, shipping & communications. When you place a request or order we collect your order details, sizing, the shipping address you provide, and messages exchanged about fulfillment.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered into Stripe and is not stored on our servers; we receive limited information such as a payment confirmation, the last four digits, and status.

Device & technical data. To send order notifications we collect a push device token. We also collect basic app and diagnostic data, including crash reports (via Sentry), to keep the Service working.

How we use information

  • To provide the Service: generate try-on renders, estimate sizing, and create and fulfill your orders.
  • To process payments and prevent fraud (through Stripe).
  • To communicate with you about quotes, orders, shipping, and support.
  • To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

AI processing of your images

Try-on previews and sizing use AI image services (Microsoft Azure OpenAI). Your hand and design images are processed to produce a preview render and measurement estimate. These previews are illustrative and are not a guarantee of the final hand-made product. We do not use your images to identify you, and we do not sell them.

Where your information is stored

Personal data such as your saved designs and fit profile is kept on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud (Apple). Order, payment, and fulfillment data is processed on our backend hosted on Microsoft Azure, and images involved in an order may be stored in Azure Blob Storage for as long as needed to provide the Service.

Service providers we share with

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract, only to provide the Service:

  • Apple — Sign in with Apple, iCloud sync, push notifications, and the App Store.
  • Clerk — authentication / sign-in.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Microsoft Azure (including Azure OpenAI and Azure Blob Storage) — backend hosting, AI rendering, and image storage.
  • Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
  • Makers — the independent artisan who makes your set receives only the details needed to fulfill it (such as the design, size, and the shipping information required to deliver).

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, complete your orders, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Images tied to an order may be retained on our servers only as long as needed and then deleted on a routine schedule. Data stored on your device or iCloud remains until you delete it.

Your rights and choices

  • Access & deletion: you can delete your account from within the app, which removes your account and associated server-side records (subject to limited retention required by law or for completed transactions).
  • Your on-device and iCloud data: you can delete saved designs and your fit profile on your device and in iCloud at any time.
  • Notifications: you can turn push notifications on or off in iOS Settings.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users 16 and older (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date, and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
